I've send you the logs ... hope they could help. After a complete crash and forced reboot of the StarWind server (BlueScreen) caused by the StarWind service the remaining ibv volume (others are completely lost) seems to be ok.

Of course ... i would do anything what could cure these problems as we are using this software in a productive environment with 250 users working on the data stored in the iSCSI files.

To which address should i send the files? Any reference in the eMail?

Bye,

Martin

On Friday i've updated StarWind to the latest build. Now (again!!!) some xfs filesystems stored on IBV volumes have become corrupt! So, my weekend is messed up because our proxy server (smtp and squid) is completely destroyed (can't find xfs superblock anymore) and i have to reinstall this machine. ...

Hi there,

does this mean, that the ibvd files are removed as soon as the data within these files is also in newer ibvd files? Or will clicking on "Cleanup Log" also integrate the ibvd's to one file? Like VMWare is doing this with snapshots ...

Thanks!

Very often corrupt XFS with IBVolume

Hi there,

we are using the latest version of StarWind. But it happens from time to time that the XFS filesystem in the IBVolumes is corrupted. This happens very often under high load.

Does anyone experience the same?

Thanks!

IBVolume and Snapshot - need understanding!

Hi there! Some questions: - can i backup the snapshot files directly with my backup software? My understanding is that when i create a snapshot new ibvd files are created and the old ones are not changing anymore. So these old ibvd files should be ok to backup. - when I create a snapshot: it is poss...
