The maximum size of RAM disk in x86 and x64 system is the same - 1024MB. If you want to create larger RAM disk, I advise you to take a look at StarWind Server.

Yes, you can do that. However, please bear in mind, that anti-virus can create a big load on the disk system.

So I would advise to run anti-virus on the application server, using real-time scanning.
