Any one can help me to treat a UNC shared path as a Local Drive to my server?

There is no iSCSI available from NAS.

I have to extend the current assigned image file from a NAS.

Current scenario is out of 7 TB assigned 3 TB and need to extend 1 TB more. If I simply extend the existing image is there any chance of data loss?

Please guide.
