Re: Starwind Long Resync time

Hello,

As far as I know, synchronization time really depends on your networking performance. Would be great if you can add a brief description of your setup :)

Re: 3 Node Hyperconverged using SSD with no RAID or RAID0

Hello, 1. It is totally acceptable to run all thing on top of RAIDless SSDs in your case. 2. I would recommend going non-RAID as those Samsungs in RAID 0 are really sounding like overkill to me :) 3. It is always better to go "all-flash" if you have such opportunity. 4. SSDs would definite...

Re: Creating an HA target in v8, slightly confused...

The reason you are getting a half of your sync performance is that your SSDs are most probably connected through SATA3 interface which can only handle up to 6GBps throughput.

Re: Updating NIC firmware/drivers

Hello,

Did you try to restart StarWind service after updating NIC drivers? StarWind "binds" to the available network adapters after each restart and there is a high possibility that it just "lost" NICs after when you have updated drivers.

Re: Storage Performance Degradation

You can try disabling L1 cache - it solved storage performance degradation issue for me. Good news - new build should be released soon where they will add some L1 cache improvements and tweaks :) Also, I would recommend using L2 cache ONLY in "wright-through" mode as it will protect you fr...

Re: Updating NIC firmware/drivers

It sounds like I need to space out my updates if I try to do it again. - Definitely a good idea. I would also recommend putting StarWind service into "manual" mode on the host where you are performing multiple restarts. This may help you to avoid full sync after finishing maintenance proc...
