thanks for the reply --- I don't have that system setup --- I have vmware workstarion and I tried connecting the physical drive to a vm and it is did not work ---- my laptop is old and probably does not have the power to run that vm setup

No if you look at the link there are 4 partitions that map to junk windows does not even a sign a drive letter

I don't think my target drive has 2tb free l will have look at that

not sure what you mean by "fixed drive" the end result has to be a vmdk file --- do you mean that the drive should be connected to the computer sata interface?

The source is fixed via USB connection the target is a local vmdk file that grows to size as needed

Hello --- I just converted a 2tb drive to a vmdk -- the drive was about 50% full --- vmdk file is around 800gb -- when go to mount it, the partition is incorrect is there a way to debug this
