I am also having this problem.
I downloaded StarWind V2V converter and installed it on a physical 2016 server. Ran it one time and it seemed to work fine and converted a machine from our ESXi to Hyper-V.
Now when I launch it again and try to connect to the ESXi server I get "The input data was not in the expected format or did not have the expected value."
I also tried to install the V2V converter on another machine and get the same error.
Environment:
Dell R730 running Server 2016 with Hyper-V Role = December 2018 patches installed.
Primary HP DL380 running ESXi 6.5.0 build 4887370 free version, no license, no vSphere.
Secondary HP DL180 running ESXi 6.5.0 build 4887370 free version, no license, no vSphere.
Trying to V2V from ESXi servers to Hyper-V.
Have attempted to enable ESXi Shell and SSH to see if it made a difference and did not.
I have verified multiple times with multiple browsers and machines that the username "root" and password "HIDDEN" connects to the ESXi servers.
I also can use Putty and WinSCP to connect to to the ESXi servers and datastores.
I can connect to the Hyper-V server using RDP, Hyper-V manager, SMB and other methods including local console.
I downloaded 5nine ESX to Hyper-V converter and it connects and functions just fine.
