Hi, decades on IT but newbie with StarWind P2V here.

Can someone point me to a hands on P2Virtualbox?

I tried with a 64GB SSD windows 10 machine (two partitions) , sw took 18hours to produce two files, one vdi one vhd, and I am unable to create a vbox machine that boots...
I was really expecting to obtain an straitforwad .vbox bootable file using the needed .vdi or .vhd files for disks... but seems I was too naive...

Any help is welcome!
TIA

Hi,

Welcome to StarWind Forum. Create a new VM with that VHD as an existing disk.
See if any of these helps

thanks,
nothing really helped me.
By the way, first reference is related to Windows XP
Second one talks about VB 3.14, currently in version 7+...

I was expecting instructions of how to produce a .vbox and a bootable .vdi or .vhd ...
In dissimilar hw.

I used to produce a tib image of the system with acronis true image, then install it to dissimilar hw...
So I am in need of something similar using StarWind...

Not direct fresh and usable references....

You can convert the image into VHD.
Please see the list of formats over here https://www.starwindsoftware.com/v2v-he ... tions.html
