ESXi to Hyper-V SQL VMs

We are having difficulties converting SQL VMs from VMware (ESXi) to Hyper-V while VMs are online. It appears to be related to the VM configuration. These are large multidisk VMs where the first several disks (vmdks) are dependent persistent disks but the rest are independent persistent disks and the conversions fail when trying to convert the independent persistent disks. Can we confirm that this is an unsupported live conversion issue or is there a work around for large VMs with this configuration? These systems are 3+ terabytes in size.

I am not sure if persistent disks were tested.
Please try P2V conversion from inside that VM.
