Who's the winner and why? ZFS? Ocarina? Data Domain? CommVault?

We are getting 1.5x Deduplication on some plus 2x Compression on our GreenBytes units.... I believe they run ZFS+ for their underlying store . . . .

BTW, we have an older DataDomain unit and it sticks. After it gets to 70% it can no longer keep up as it has no room to work it magic onboard any more. Figure 60% usage on a DataDomain... that's what I would say.

Deduplication of 1:1.23 is not very impressive... What kind of data do you keep on deduplicated target? What deduplication block do you use? What competitors did you consider at the time you've been planning dedupe deployment?
