VTL compression?

Can you share a bit more information about compression and deduplication you use with VTL? Any estimates on savings? Thanks!

Sure thing! Basically, you need to enable the MS deduplication on the volume where StarWind VTL is located. So basically we are refering to the dedup ratio of Ms in case of cold data. This link should be helpful here:

Just a tiny update here: I'd suggest to take a look at our hardware VTL appliance as it has all the deduplication / compression settings applied out-of-box. Here:
