Hi there,
I installed Tape Redirector a month or ago and it was working fine with my Hyper-V VM. But we started getting errors that backup were not starting because the tape drive was not available. The Tape Redirector is stating the tape drive is not licensed. I tried to reinstall the license key and it doesnt work. I even requested a new one from your website and still does not work. I attached screen shot of what I have in StarWind. How can I resolve this?
Thanks in advance!

Hi, could you please provide us with a screenshot of your current license information, as well as a screenshot of the error itself.
PS: If your tape device is only used by the iSCSI client it can be a good idea to switch the tape device to "exclusive" mode.

You have to scroll to right and down on the screenshot I gave you as its pretty big and it will show the HP ultrium in a "Not Licensed" state. Where do I pull up current license info in the software?

Actually Max was asking about the license that installs in StarWind software. you can find it by clicking on the host>Configuration tab (its from the right side)>Registration.

Got it.
I would recommend a complete reinstall as last resort then.
We're working on a new build, I'll update the thread when it's on the website.
