Hello,
Is it possible to support the following scenario?
ISCSI Disk - accessed as Read/Write from Server 1
Same ISCSI Disk - accessed as Read-Only from Server 2
I have a requirement to backup the ISCSI disk(s) to a single tape drive - this only requires read-only access for the 'Backup Server'.
Is this possible using StarPort and/or Microsoft initiator?
Kindest regards,
Paul

No. There's nobody at the READER side to tell him WRITER had just changed the shared content. So either ALL READERs or mixed READ/WRITE guys with the proper file system (DataPlow SFS for example) or proper distributed arbitration software (MetaSAN from Tiger Technologies). Thanks!
