Hi.

I am trying to mount a iSCSI drive using starport ; however when the vrtual disc is created the type is always a Virtual SCSI Disk Drive.

I'd like this drive to appear as a DVD/BD optical drive..

Is this possible ?

I am using scsitarget on a RedHat RHEL 5 server...

Also, for some reason Windows doesn't let me mount the disk. While with iSCSI initiator on other machine (mac or linux) it will mount just fine and the disk appear as a UFS partition..

Thank you in advance for your help

We're representing device in the way iSCSI target tells us. So bug your iSCSI target vendor to make proper device type emulation (for now obviously they don't have the right one). Or switch to StarWind. We perfectly map physical or virtual DVD / Blu-Ray drives over the network.
