I am using the free StarPort driver to test windows connectivity to our Coraid AoE SAN. I can setup a single connection to a LUN on the system okay but when I try and setup a second connection to a different LUN both connections show a failed status and are not available. We do this on our Linux servers and have no problems. Is it possible in the Windows environment? Is this by design? Does the setup need to be done differently when there will be more than one LUN involved?

I just noticed on the splash screen that it shows a "Configuration Error #1434" and I can no longer add devices. What do I need to do to fix this?

License issue. Did you install the same license multiple times on the same network?

I do have it installed on two systems at this point. So the free Starport AoE driver is limited to a single server per network? What are my options? At this point I'm just testing my configurations. We don't have a limitation in our Linux environment like this.

1) You cannot do it. For now you'll have to apply for the second StarPort key manually. Upcoming V5.5 will have all licensing stuff removed as we'll re-publish StarPort as FREE w/o any restrictions.
2) Very interesting point! Should we release ALL the software under GPL only b/c you have "Linux environment like this"?

1) How do I go about getting another license? I'm not opposed to paying for it but I need to verify that my setups will work before I go to far.
2) Not necessarily.... but parity would be nice

... I would think there should be interest from the Coraid users at least.

1) For now (pre V5.5 release) you need to drop a message to
support@starwindsoftware.com and sales/support staff will issue with a new license for second (third etc) system.
2) There's a definite interest from CoRAID users. The problem is I have no clue how to pay f.e. my gas bills with this interest

Just kidding... "StarWind Free ATA-over-Ethernet Initiator" should replace StarPort pretty soon.

Not yet. We're a bit busy with the more important things at this moment.
