Had no issues using M$ISCSI but when trying the starport initiator... it connects but then I dont see anything in disk management.
Log shows...
5/10 15:08:30 1714 ntsrv: StariSCSI Service v5.5 (Build 20091120, Win2003 x64)
5/10 15:08:30 1714 Srv: No bound volumes found.
5/10 15:08:30 1714 Srv: Service started.
Im connecting to a Thecus iscsi target N8800Pro.
Server 2008 R2 SP1
On another note.... If I remove an iscsi target.. the server BSOD and reboots.

If MS iSCSI initiator works for you please stick with it. It does not sound like it's StarPort issue.

Actually I want to migrate away from the M$ initiator. It has a memory leak that consuming over 16GB of non-paged memory and slows down everything on the server.
No matter.. I'll keep looking.

If you're a guy from here:

Here's an update: we've contacted Thecus support to see what could be done. Initially it looks like their target is rejecting iSCSI handshake we offer for no reason.
Cannot say anything about MS iSCSI initiator memory leak however.
