Hello,

I'm actually planning to deploy a 2 nodes's Hyper-V cluster. For the hosts parts I'm almost done. Now come the time to think about the SAN. I've already quote the solution of a DELL or EMC type SAN. I'm also thinkng about Starwind.

In a first time I'm planning to deploy only one SAN. I would go with the Free version of Starwind. Then in a next time i'd like to deploy a second SAN and use the HA of Starwind. I'd like to know if I can upgrade from the free to the paid version and go to HA without having to recreate the LUNs?

Free version --> Unlock with the licence code --> set EXISTING LUNS to HA

Can it be done?

Thanks in advance for your replies.

For current release - no, not directly. You will need to re-create your Basic Image devices to HA (destroy the target and create new basing on old one).
But in future release we will definitely have this feature.
May I ask when approximately are you planning to have 2nd box?
