I noticed that when I delete a dedupe device the corresponding disk files are not deleted
(dddb, spdata and spmetadata)

Any reason these arent deleted by the remove devive command and any reason I cant
delete these(I really need the 3TB that it consumed)

thanks

To my knowledge, deleting a device in Starwind does not remove the underlying files. Some procedures, like changing the cache sizes, require that you delete the device and recreate it using the same disk image. When I delete devices and targets, if I want to remove them for good, I just delete the img files as well.

I can confirm that. This behavior is caused by the fact that those files can be used after the device was removed for some procedures or operations.
