Hello everybody

I'll start by explaining the situation.

I have two HP servers running Windows Server 2012 R2. My internship project is that they work in Failover Cluster (for Hyper- V). Here, it’s all right but the tutorials speak only of SAN away of these servers. This means that our data’s are on another server / NAS. But if it falls, obviously our failover does not work anymore.

So I stumbled upon StarWind and I, to test it, took the "StarWind Native SAN for Hyper- V - Free Edition " to have a SAN shared and synchronized storage disks on both servers.
Then I, connect my two servers, make a "High availability device". It’s synchronizing between each other’s. Ok. I take the iSCSI targets, everything is working fine.

But when I cut one of the servers off. First, Starwind tell me that the server is down and then freeze. At the same time the cluster also freezes and falls.

Furthermore, when the second server is switched on again, Starwind continues to be blocked again.

So to me, the HA is all, but not reached.

Could you help me?

A big thank you! :)

Ps: Sorry for my English.

Hi CBIT,
The described behavior may be caused networking.
Could you please tell me how the configuration is wired together?
Also, could you please tell me if you have followed the instructions of the guide below (page 15-17) to connect to the iSCSI targets.
