What's the calculation for how much RAM is needed for the above? Just tried to mount some more storage in the lab and it informs me that it's out of memory.

Metadata - defaults are OK. The more - the better, the less reliable.
Deduplication - 3.5G per TB of storage.

Thanks for the deduplication calculation. Very useful. I know it's probably been posted before :-)

In terms of the metadata, are you saying there is no calculation and it's a preset amount per storage device? Because in the lab, I was unable to add another LSFS device although there was 500MB free RAM.
