I am new to Starwind Virtual SAN and attempting to create a mirrored node solution. I have created a target on node one and assigned a local drive. I am now trying to create a HA replica to node 2, but keep getting an error message on the HA portion that says "HA Device Initialization for second partner node failed Failed: invalid partner info". I can't seem to find much information on the error.

I have a 2 network connections on each server. One for the iSCSI and one for the heartbeat. I can ping between the 2 nodes on both nics and both mac addresses show up in arp.

Not sure if am missing something with the proper HA setup or not. The 2 nodes are running Windows Server 2012 and the Starwind Virtual SAN version is 8.0.7354

Thanks

Remove and re-add the servers to the console. This will fix the invalid partner info error (or should).

That seemed to do the trick. Thanks.

Will bring developers as it should not throw an error either way :( Thanks for sharing a workaround!

I believe this started in version 7354 (and the mini-version right before 7354, but not 7145/6884). 7145/6884 did not exhibit this behavior.

I have not tested the most recent LSFS beta build yet.

Thanks for the update. If that will appear again, don't hesitate to gather the service and console logs from all problematic Starwind logs and share with us.

By the way, here is where you can get the latest beta build right now:
