Hi there,

I have two StarWind Free nodes in the lab (Server2012 running under VMWare) that I would like to create some HA/mirrored storage on but I have not been able to find any current Version 8 guides on the StarWind site for creating HA/mirrored storage and guessing it is the Create Clustered Storage option.

I have a different SW Free license on each server and both of them added to a cluster. Whenever I go to add Clustered Storage I receive the error "Storage creation failed. Failed: operation cannot be completed." Will a StarWind free 2-node license be able to create this? I have an email out to license@starwind.com if that is the resolution.

Trying to find a different method, in the SW Management Console help for "Configuring Synchronous Replication" file it says I should be able to select "Allow multiple concurrent iSCSI connections" when created a device for clustering. When I set up a new storage device in v8 I do not have that option. Following the help file I brought up the Replication Manager for that device and the option for add replica is greyed out.

I also noticed that after I Remove Device in the SW Management Console I cannot delete the associated ISO file without stopping the server. Since the storage device has been removed I would expect the StarWind server to no longer access the file. Is this by design or is this happening because of the clustered storage creation error?

Thanks,

Hi,

First of all I would like to provide you with the technical paper you've requested: https://www.starwindsoftware.com/techni ... Sphere.pdf

To get the temporary license please drop an email to the license@starwind.com or sales@starwind.com and also please download the latest StarWind Virual SAN build http://starwindsoftware.com/tmplink/starwind-v8.exe

The option that allows multiple connections should be available on the step of target configuration during image file creation. Please get back to me with the same questions, but with the proper license and newest StarWind version.
