vSAN Free HA with HYPER-V

HELLO

Im trying to test vSAN free in HA scenario with HYPER-V and Failover Cluster Role:
-Two HP Gen9 HOSTS with Hyper-V role
-i HAVE a windows 2012 virtual machine that i want to protect with the VSAN STARWIND+HYPER-V Failover Cluster

From my understanding, i need a virtual machine with vSAN starwind software installed on each HOST server.
Can i install de vSan on the windows 2012 virtual machine on the first host and install de vSAN software on the second host on the the top of Windows 7 Pro virtual machine in order to work with the replication and HA? do i need windows server on both nodes ?
This scenario will work for me ?

Hello,

StarWind vSAN free has license restrictions, you can`t install it on the VM.

In your case you can ask for a trial license.
Or you can try NFR license(not for commercial purposes) here:
