Hello,

Is not possible to get event notifications about cluster health with free version?

Greetings,

Theoretically speaking, yes, but modifications to the config file are required.
The easiest will be setting up a similar system inside the VM side by side, setting up the email notifications in it, and copying the corresponding entries into the config file of a free version.
P.S. You need to stop the service while modifying the config file.
P.P.S. You can use CVM and install Zabbix inside it, or you can use Zabbix to monitor StarWind VSAN in Windows-based systems.

There is no docs about that?
There is no endpoint to scrape metrics for prometheus or other system?

Other alternative is send event logs to Loki using promtail and set alerts using grafana...

You are welcome to install the software of preference that can act as a log watcher for you.
My preference is Zabbix for some reason, that's why it popped up in my mind first.

So the only method is watching logs with Zabbix/Loki
There isn't any metrics endpoint or similar for monitoring the cluster, right?

It is not the only method, but it is for sure the easiest one for StarWind VSAN free.
There is no endpoint from the box.

You can do API.
See the event IDs https://www.starwindsoftware.com/help/E ... dVSAN.html
And API docs / schema? I'm using search but I can't find it
Sorry mate.

Hi,

No worries.
The short answer is "not really, sorry". There is a Zabbix template for APIs and a Zabbix template for monitoring (you will need to log a support call with us to get those), but it was recently noticed to cause too many API calls and cause high memory utilization.
I can share with you both though.
