Sorry for being not 100% clear. I meant that you need to copy the installer on all the Hyper-V boxes and install the Backup plug-in part there manually.

Ok I have both of our Hyper V servers with plug ins going, but a past issues has come up in that the backups are extremely slow, ie our database server is at 42% after 10hrs. Less than 200GB's to backup. It also makes them VM useless.

Sorry again for long reply. Could you please clarify how many simultaneous backups do you perform? Do you perform backup onto iSCSI target or physical disk? If the latter, do you have your storage pool and VM files located on the same physical disk?

I tried setting it up so there was only one backup of a VM a night to see if that would help and to make sure it wasn't impacting anything. It is onto physical disks, just a couple simple RAID1's. The VM's are on another server as we have the Backup Server dedicated to just storage and not running any VM's.

It may sound stupid, but still: are you sure that your RAID/network can handle the load from the multiple backups?
