Two question about Starwind 3.2.2

I have read the following information on Starwind in the forum:

"

1:Use large extent size for IBVolumes (256 is the maximum value). This will help to solve the address space problem as a map file size.

2:The bad news is each map file must be mapped to the memory of the StarWindService process so it needs 39MB*50 = 1950MB of memory for map files while a Win32 process is limited by 2GB of address space.

"

Two question arise.

3.2.2 is not supported any more. Update to the 3.5 (at least).

...all of the things you've mentioned can be solved with the 64-bit version of the StarWind. So upgrade both your hardware and your software.

Thank you for you reply.

I have downloaded the trial 3.5 version of the Starwind and installed in the 2003 server operation system , but when I creat the IBVolume Image, and specify sector numbers of 256,a warning message appeared : please enter a integer number between 0 to 128.I draw a conclusion that 3.5 can not support 256 sectors per extent.Which 32-bit version of the Starwind can support 256 sectors per extent??

If I use 64-bit version of the starwind, what changes hardware and software need to be ? In addtion, how can I get the 64-bit version of the Starwind??

I will be very glad to hearing from you answer as soon as possible.

When you receive the download e-mail you receive BOTH links. To the 32-bit and 64-bit versions.
