Performance, Replication, and other iSCSI targets

We are looking for a good iSCSI target software for our Hyper-V roll-out. A few questions:

1. Has StarWind been benchmarked against other iSCSI targets such as DataCore's SanMelody? Any performance data would be helpful.

2. Would be interested to hear real-world experience with the async replication feature of StarWind. Specifically, performance, gotchas, pitfalls, etc.
