Eval with 1 client only?

Hi,

I followed the link that I got via email for downloading the eval copy of Starwind Professional. I want to test it for MSCS. When I try to connect the 2nd initiator I get a "Target Error" and the logfile has the following entry "11/24 11:39:30.203 c44 Srv: *LICENSE* Rejected iSCSI connection from 192.168.0.81:49195. Maximum of 1 allowed clients already connected to the server!". Is this limitation expected for the eval copy? Shouldn't it be full featured? Is it possible that I got the wrong pointer to the eval image?

Regards
Volker

You've applied FREE key. It does LOCK the version into one initiator mode. Simply unregister your StarWind and you'll have Pro functionality for evaluation.

hi,

i got the same problem but with a test of mpio (my first !! brrrr it's always hard the first time hein !!! ) , the second connection failed .

when i read the log i see at the begining :

licence data not found.
trial version

unlimited number of clients hosts allowed ( :D cool )

and after the second connection :

*limit* vm1 : all of 1 allowed sessions are opened!

in the licence registration dialog i have no licence .

whatever i tried to unregister , i restarted starwind and the limitation is still here .

 snifff my bl460c is asking for more power !

thanks in advance for your help .

Same problem - same solution. Please unregister (send us registration information screen shot) and send us the log. So we'll point what you did wrong.

P.S. New version V4.0 will NOT have 1 connection limitation as we're a bit sick of it :)

Please create targets with "Allow multiple concurrent iSCSI connections (clustering)" option enable.
To ensure that a target may be used with cluster review its properties and make sure that it has "Clustered: Yes".
