Greetings,
I'm in the planning stages of implementing Starwind on new hardware and wondering if anyone out there has experience using Starwind on Server 2008 r2 core vs a full standard installation. I'm mostly interested in performance benchmarks and overall comments.
This system will be running 6GB, running a quad core X5620 Xeon, 6 2TB Hitachi Deskstar drives running off of a 3ware 9690SA controller. This system is dedicated to Starwind.

Any comments would be great!

Thanks,
Elvis

There should be no performance benefits if you use the same hardware, the most recent drivers and properly configured network and storage stacks.
