I'm trying to build a SQL server 2008 2 node cluster. Using starwind I created quorum and disk images (virtual disk option) using the add target wizard. Then with the help of iSCSI initiator i connected to the target. But my cluster won't recognize it. when I try to add a disk it throws an error

"No disks suitable for cluster disks were found. For diagnostic information about disks available to the cluster, use the Validate a Configuration Wizard to run Storage tests."

The cluster nodes are on Windows server 2008 (32bit)
Starwind and the resources that i'm trying to host are on a Windows 7 (32 bit) machine.

On a side note: When the physical disk option is selected the storage recognizes the disk. But I don't have enough disks to host the cluster resources. That's why I chose the virtual HD option.

Any help on this is greatly appreciated.

Thank you!

I guess you've created your target with "Clustered=No" option that's why such a disk is rejected as a quorum source. Please double-check this and send us zipped StarWind log to support@starwindsoftware.com if "Clustered=Yes" would not help. Thanks!

I have created the target with clustered=' yes' option, the problem was the disks weren't initialized properly in disk management console. now the devices shows up in the cluster admin console... but when i try to create the quorom, i still cant find the devices in the create quorom wizard.

Don't see any StarWind logs from you. Did you bother yourself to catch and send them or do we miss anything?
