Hello!
I'm total newbee for SW target, I've read through this forum, especially topics http://www.starwindsoftware.com/forums/ ... ibvd#p9696 and http://www.starwindsoftware.com/forums/ ... ibvd#p8627, but still don't understand:
1. How to get rid of all those ibvd files if it's possible to merge only N last?
2. Where is "Cleanup Log directory" popup?
3. Why are there so many of them when it was set only 2 maximum snapshots when creating CDP volume?
4. How to make a "solid" (not spreaded across files) volume when it's neccessary?

ok, lets make it one-by-one:

You can to merge them. For this purpose right-click on the device>snapshot manager>select the one that you want to merge>Merge button
boka wrote:2. Where is "Cleanup Log directory" popup?
Actually the topic where you saw that mentioned is for year 2008, so we haven`t got it now.

Snapshot is using some of the previous *.ibvd files as the source of the data. ibvd files will be deleted if there will be no data that is required for functioning of new snapshot (btw yes, only new data is writting to the new snapshots). (from this topic)

Just create fullclone (you`ll see this option target wizard if you`ll choose CDP device.
