Hi all,
I just setup the free version of v5.8. While I can connect to the Starwind target and see it's free space, I'm unable to format it via ESXi v5.0 VMFS. I get the error below from the vSphere client:

Call "HostDatastoreSystem.CreateVmfsDatastore" for object "ha-datastoresystem" on ESXi "aet-vmhost3" failed.
Operation failed, diagnostics report: Unable to create Filesystem, please see VMkernel log for more details: Connection timed out

The target is on Windows Server 2008 R2 x64 with the firewall turned off.

Thanks,

Pootie

Have you had any data on it before?
Does anything else is connected to this StarWind drive?
Could you please provide us with the detailed network diagram of your system?
