Hi,

can you just add this feature? Or can you point me a way to directly change the configuration file?

It's okay to change and restart , but it's not okay to force me delete my target, retype it and reselect a bunch of options just to change my cache settings!

Thanks!

It's on the wish list for a lot of us.

1) Change cache/size and method
2) Change network interfaces without recreating target
3) If a node goes off the deep end being able to re-create the partner image with a sync without having to drop the target, copying over an img file, re-creating the target and forcing a sync.

If these 3 get done, it will be the greatest product since slice bread.

1) and 3) are coming with the next minor updates, not sure about 2) as it's a little bit more complex...

Thanks! Which minor version are you talking about 5.6.x or 5.7?

Now you cannot do it. You can change partner now in HA however.

Just a little clarification: you can change the chache settings now through the changing of the partner. This wont take the datastore offline at all, but servers will be loaded with the synchronization process.

I am wondering when this feature is going to be available (assume running in non HA environment) - Did it make the v6 product release?

Can we shutdown the starwind service, edit the config file and restart to achieve this until the feature is inbuilt into the product?

1) This feature is post-poned to Cache Manager. Probably January beta (after flash cache).

2) Yes, you can do it.
