Does the current version support Hyper-V 2012? I would be interested in testing if there is anything available, I have 2 hyper-v 2012 RC nodes in a cluster, and 1 fileserver. I am currently testing SMB 3 as well as microsoft iscsi target just to see how well it works. Each machine has a 4 port intel vt gigabit nic connected to a cisco 3750 switch.

I am also curious if the current or new version would incorporate SMB 3 at all? So far, it works well and is simple to use :)

I understand I would need to attach local storage to the hyper-v boxes, that is not a problem.

Hi,
Hyper-V 2012 isn't released yet so we can only claim that we work with all the beta and RCs available on the web.
Currently our QA didn't find any bugs in StarWind - Hyper-V compatibility, that's what I can say for sure :)
As for the SMB - StarWind does not incorporate any SMB features , instead we can make a fault tolerant iSCSI storage resource which can easily become a perfect underlying storage for Microsoft's SMB 3 - works well, is easy to use, yet it's also highly available.

Thanks for the answer, I appreciate it. I have no problem running iSCSI, i have a 4 port intel nic dedicated for each host, so i get pretty decent throughput with iSCSI and MPIO :)

If you need any testing done for the beta version, let me know :)

Good!

Yes, beta is always a day left and a dollar short so please apply for it. Much appreciated!

Existing one should work on top of 2012 just fine.
