Re: Starwind service not found on host

Starting option is set to auto/delayed is made specially to be sure, that StarWind will be started after all network services of Windows, and OS will get its IP for sure.
Hello guys,

I have noticed that everything behaves pretty badly when StarWind hosts are on the HyperV hosts, and one host is down, and another is starting or stopping.

As part of solution I'd set ClusSvc and vmms to depend on StarWindService. But both ClusSvc and vmms have Auto startup mode. Not sure if StarWindService wouldn't start earlier in that case. Whether the IP and network services are the only consideration why the StarWind service's startup mode was set to Auto-Delayed?

Thank you.

Sincerely,
Sergey

I think you forgot one thing - since one StarWind service is up, the Quorum and the CSVs are online, so cluster will start normally.

If we are talking about situation where two nodes failed - even if cluster services will start after starwind you will still need to initiate synchronization of HAs manually.
