Having a problem trying our Hyper V backup

I need to find something else to backup up our Hyper V virtuals, so I figured I would try the one built into Starwind. I have a 30 day license right now and installed Starwind on one of our non production StarWind servers. I am trying to install the backup server role in StarWind but get the error:
Installation failed. RemoteInstall: Failed to install msi to the host 172.27.11.24. The operation completed successfully. (code: 0)(0x80070659)

I am trying to do this locally if that matters. This is 6.0.4768

can you try to specify 127.0.0.1 instead of 172.27.11.24 in installation wizzard?

If I go through the wizard and choose this computer, it put that IP address in the settings window.

If I specify a computer I get:
Installation failed. RemoteInstall: Failed to transfer file to the host 127.0.0.1. This network connection does not exist. (code: 2250)(0x800708ca)

Can you check your domain policy settings? We have assumption that it is not allowed to install from .msi in your domain policy.

I checked our group policy and didn't have anything in place, we're a small company.

I ended up removing all traces of Starwind, as this server was kind of a testing for different ideas to try on Starwind. Reinstall with the latest version and everything went through, currently backing up a virtual.

Now I just need to figure out if there is room on our SAN or if I need to upgrade that license to

To be honest that is actually guides us to assumption that something was just configured not properly.

Well, I`m glad that everything works fine now :)

I'll do a little reuse of the thread:

It seems everytime I add another Hyper V host, I need to create a storage pool and deduplication area - is this normal?

Yes, currently we are allowing our Hyper-V users to use "backup agent per storage pool" only.
We are working to make using of one storage pool for multiple backups possible.
