Access Rights Copying/Removing Multiple

Is there a way to do either of the following (Perhaps through scripting or editing an XML?):
1. Remove multiple access rights rules (currently I am creating hundreds when banning initiators to targets which I need to remove).
2. Copy an existing access right to a new one, so that I don't have to provide so many entries manually?

Before I`ll give you the answer may I ask one thing: why are you banning the initiators before deleting the targets? Can`t you just disconnect?

I can only use "Disconnect and Ban", that creates these rules; Creating rules that ban all initiators to a target does not disconnect existing sessions, only new ones are blocked. (I've responded to you in greater detail in the question I have oipen here:
http://www.starwindsoftware.com/forums/ ... t2920.html.)
Also, it's not just deleting, I would very much like to copy an existing rule to a new rule and edit it, as there are lots of objects to add and remove to an individual access rights rule, so doing that one at a time is a time intensive proposition.

So, can you please explain how I may delete multiple access rules now?
Also is it be possible to copy existing rules to new ones, or not?

I think the best way is simple modifying of current rule by changing the target. Otherwise you need to change the starwnd.cfg file, which is obviously not recommended: one of the reasons is necessity to restart the starwind service after each change it was applied.

So, there is no way without restarting the service. Fine.
Why did it take a week and a dosen posts to get that answer?
In the mean-time I figured out I could edit the xml if I wanted ot, but I assumed I would have to restart the service, so it doesn't solve my problem.

Well, first of all we wanted to know the details of your scenario to provide you with some workaround if it was possible.
I had conversation with our R&D and tehy confirmed that functionality that you have mentioned in this topic will be added in our next releases. Stay tuned.
