Native SAN for Hyper-V 6.0 and Deduplication

Hello

I try to build Two-Node Hyper-V failover cluster with Native SAN for Hyper-V Free Edition 6.0.
I have success with creating HA from virtual disk - cluster is working good. But i don't see any deduplication in that case. HA Wizard offer to me Create HA from device, that can be Deduplicated Disk Device. But i can't understand how sync nodes in this case.

Anyone have walktru for my scenario - Two-Node cluster with deduplication?

UPD: I was "checking" deduplication with copying into Cluster Storage clear VM's (OS only) with Win2008R2 Server. No any saving diskspace is observed - Cluster Storage is decreased any time when i copy new VM on VM's size.

1) Did you create deduplicated storage from the very beginning?

2) It will decrease. Inside LUN you'll see non-de-hydrated content size. It's actual containers (.spdata & others) should being less then true capacity they store.

Hello Anton

Yes. I was done this task - phrase "Specify file name for virtual disk on the first server" is just placed near "Create HA from virtual disk" and r/button "Create HA from device" do not clear linked to "first server"/"second server". It misled me.
I already was create DDDisk on both nodes and testing in cluster.

Ough. I see...

And no way exist to extend size of HA Device based on DDDisk? That menu item is disabled. My second HA, based on virtual disk, can be expanded.

Thank u, Anton.

Yes, it is impossible to extend the DDDevice for now. It will be improved in future releases.
