We are going through the process to upgrade our current 2 node HA setup. We have run out of space. My question is, Can any one create a good reason (other then its "best practice") why we shouldn't use a stripe. We are using HA so there are redundant copies of the data. So is there a real need to use a Raid 10 for extra protection when I can go with a stripe and gain alot more performance and storage space.
Thanks
James

Not really... If you have a good backup it would be safer and faster to re-provision the new HA unit instead of a trying to re-build array on a one with a fallen drive.
