StarWind Service memory leak?

Hello.
It seems that lately my StarWind Free Edition consumes all available memory, slows down the storage/virtual environment dramatically, and then hangs up entirely.
I have 8GB of memory in the SAN. I've configured a 4GB cache. Shouldn't the Starwind Service *not* consume all of the available memory? Do I need to upgrade? I'm on version 5.8.0 build 20120117.
Thanks.

Start with upgrading to V6 as your one is 2+ years old. We really hate start looking at the problems fixed (potentially) years ago.
If you'd experience the same issue with the decent version of StarWind - we'd ba happy to help it resolved

Is there any magic to upgrading the StarWind iSCSI target? Do I need to power down VMs or pause them? Do I just download and run the installer? Thanks for your help. I will upgrade my setup.

Hi ofc2logic!
The best way to update free edition is to follow these steps:
1. Turn off all services using the iSCSI storage.
2. Disconnect the iSCSI storage through the iSCSI initiator.
3. Install the latest version of StarWind
4. Reconnect the iSCSI storage to the client servers.

Is there any chance to have a guide on how to upgrade w/o stopping the service and disconnecting the clients?
