Hi Tech Support,

I have a Windows Server 2012 (SAN) that has 2 volumes E: (80GB) and F:(60GB). I installed Starwind ISCSI SAN software and the management console on it. I created 3 devices(Tier1, Tier2 & Quorum) on the management console as shown in the picture below. The respective Targets were also created.

I then connected my HyperV hosts 1 & 2 to the LUNs and everything worked as expected. I then installed the SMI-S provider ver 0.95 beta on the SAN server. The configuration utility is as shown below:

When I try to add the storage device to the VMM 2012, it connects to the SAN but shows the default storage pool as shown below. It does not show the 3 LUNs that I have created. What changes do I have to make to see the LUNs that I have created. Please advise.

Our SMI-S privider will work with Windows Server 2012 R2 and matching VMM version. Microsoft will back-port the thing to the 2008 R2 and original 2012 only after R2 will be published "Gold". Unfortunately it's not something we (StarWind development team) can change :(

It will be officially supported configuration with an updated VMM. As long as you have working beta from Microsoft, new SCVMM 2012 R2 or a back-ported one it will work.
