Just checking to see if anyone has done any testing with cachecade? We're planning some testing using a lsi 9266 and 9 450gb sas drives using 1 intel 520 for ssd caching.

Pointless with a StarWind. Upcoming V8 will have flash caching. Real one (cache synchronized between hosts so a real safe write-back + VMs start from a "hot" state when moved to another one dynamiclly + our flash cache survives reboots, again VMs start from a "hot" state). StarWind paradigm is - invest $ into commodity hardware. So instead of a cache controller and SLC buy a lot of a SATA and MLC. And RAM. We'll do the magic.

No, we'll be fine with any RAID. Software or hardware.
