Dedicated RAID group

Ok, so I just got 2 Dell Poweredge servers and I'm getting ready to install Starwind Native SAN for Hyper-V.

Both servers are identical, has 6x 600GB SAS drives, and Dell has configured them in one big RAID 10 array.

Can I use this for both OS and Data or do I really need a dedicated RAID group for data. I've searched, and I'm finding mixed answers on this. I'd prefer to install things once, lol..

Thanks for any advice!

Sure you can use OBR10 for both boot and data!

Generally speaking it's a very bad idea to create an "islands" of storage (RAID groups) as that's an effective way to steal IOPS out of your system...
