Want to change heartbeat network, but can't.

Previously when I went to change the heartbeat network I was told to do so by going through the replication manager. I removed the replication partner, tried adding it back and couldn't because the device was in use. Removed the device from the partner, went through all the steps, then at the final screen I get: An error occurred: Add partner node failed! Failed: operation cannot be completed.
Is there any way to do this without recreating both devices?

Actually that is pretty weird - usually you just need to remove one mirror and then add it back. Can you confirm that you followed this steps:
1. Remove the HA partner on the node 2.
2. Right-click on the remaining HA target (on the node 1) and click the Replication manager option.
3. In the wizard that appears, point to the image file on node 2 (which was previously used for the HA device) and specify new IP addresses for the Heartbeat and Synchronization channels.
4. Connect the modified target to the client servers.
?

I tried it a couple times, sometimes getting a different error sooner.
I sometimes wonder if it has something to do with our setup and Windows. Our SAN's are direct connect, no switch, and use 192.168.11/12.x 255.255.0.0. We have a remote network that is 192.168.1-8.x 255.255.0.0 and sometimes Windows seems to get confused where data should be sent. Have you guys seen anything like that?
If I choose the wrong IP addresses for syncing would it through that error? I still can't recreate the partner target/device.

StarWind will use the I address that you`ll feed to it.
I think it will be better if we could jump on the quick remote session. Can I ask you to drop the message to me directly:
av@starwind.com? Please specify the time when you`ll be ready to start in the email.
Thank you

Ok, every paired connection has been moved over to it's own subnet, a tedious task but it looks like things are alot happier this way. Also this was the first time it hasn't used the heartbeat connection (1Gb) to sync and used the 10Gb links. It was nice to see 50% of the 10Gb being utilized since it wasn't doing that during the previous setup. Now if I can try and squeeze some cash out of the company to fill up my new cases with SSD's.
Thanks
