StarWind SAN standalone to domain migration

Hi there,

We are running the free version of the StarWind SAN on a standalone WinServer 2012 x64 machine (HP DL380 G6). Yesterday I tried promoting the machine to our Active Directory Domain (we wanted to use it for SMB file share) and had issues with our VMWare server unable to browse the disk after the server rebooted. I was able to back the server out of the domain and the StarWind SAN started to working again.

I just want to double check that if I uninstalled the StarWind SAN keeping our current disk ISO, add the server to the domain then reinstall StarWind it should work as expected?

Thanks!

Actually StarWind doesn`t depend on the Domain mostly, Maybe there is something to do with the FW or AV policy in your domain, so I`d doublechecked that as #1 step.

Can I ask you to try following:
1.Create the target
2.Move StarWind boxes into domain
3.If ESX lose target try to re-create them

Also, can I ask you to drop us the StarWind logs that contain the records on the time of the issue to support@starwindsoftware.com (please put the reference to this thread into the body of the email)?
