Cluster Network

I was trying to create a cluster to test. I only have 1 network for now. I selected it for sync and heartbeat. It prompts me for Select networks for heartbeat. Do you need to have 2? If so I think the message could be more clear.

Also When you click "Sync and heartbeat" it clears the heartbeat checkbox but not sync. Shouldn't it clear both? if that's the case. Sync should also be called "Sync Only"

I failed to get a test system set-up for HA with just one network. The wizard just doesn't seem to let it through. However, I suspect you might be able to do it by not using the cluster wizard, i.e. set-up the storage manually on both nodes and then set-up replication directly on the node.

Cheers, Rob.

Well, you need to use heartbeats that are separate from SyncChannel.

Also it is a good idea for you to update the SAN - it has improved GUI.

Then you should get rid of the Sync and Heartbeat checkboxes. Makes it confusing. Or if that is for something else, Explain it a little more. I have no issues with adding a second adapter but vmware 5.5 u2 doesn't like the guest ID. The web client crashes trying to edit it. The C# client displays

Going to see of others have the same issue before I change it to Server 2012

I am using 8.0.7145 which is the latest I see on the download page.

Actually we simplified that dialog box in 7145, so you confused me:)

Well, actually I don`t think that this is something StarWind related, however I`ll try to help you out.
Please check the VM version and if it 10 change to 8. You can do this directly on the host using SSH and manually edit vmx file of this virtual machine.

Agreed and already reported by me. Think it's fixed in latest build.

Cheers, Rob.
