"Sync and heartbeat" network setting confusing...

I try to choose "Sync and heartbeat" when setting up HA cluster, but it perpetually tells me to "Select Networks for Heartbear Channels"... Under what circumstances can "Sync and heartbeat" be selected?!?! (to "sync" and "heartbeat" over the same network?!)

The Syncchannel and the HeartBeat itself should be configured on the separate IPs and NICs.
