Will there be an interim build, or will the new VM appliance features be added first?

If you mean VSAN deployment then currently 5.5 should work and for 6.0 you'd better perform manual installation of StarWind service inside VMs. VMware had changed APIs a bit sorry about that
Our next stage would be providing pre-packaged VMs with StarWind Service pre-configured inside. We'll continue both new OVF and exiting deployment way (StarWind would be updated for vSphere 6.0 soon).

Doesn't look like 8116 is compatible either. I just wasted 3 hours trying to get 7774, then 8116 to work because it isn't documented on the website.

I haven't, still waiting on next update. When will that be folks? I really need 6.0 support.
