Hello,
I have the following setup:
Server 2012 R2
2 storage spaces:
SSD only
2x240 GB
Mirror
SATA with SSD Cache
10x2TB Sata and 2x100GB SSD Cache
Parity
When I setup a virtual disk on the SSD only it works fine, when I setup a Virtual disk on the SATA it works, but when I try to mount it (even with storage space as 2 GB and the Virtual Disk as 1 GB)
I get the following error message in disk manager: Data Error (cyclic redundancy check)
anybody seen this before or does know where this comes from?
Thank you.
Cor

Hello Boeiend!
Could you please submit a support ticket and attach to it next information:
· StarWind logs from all SAN boxes
· Windows Application and System logs (in *.csv format) from all SAN boxes
· Detailed network diagram of SAN system
· Approximate time frames when the issue happened
I`d appreciate if you`ll separate the logs from different servers into the different folders
Thank you

I received the following solution which solves the problem. Thanks a lot!
Storage Spaces use 4k logical disk sector size, please try set 4096 bytes sector size in Add Device (advanced) wizard. There is a screenshot attached to this letter, which shows the exact place where the Logical disk sector size can be configured. Please tell me if it helped, thank you.

Thank you for confirmation everything is OK so far. I'll check within R&D why we cannot actually automate this process and reject creating 512e devices on top of 4KB native block ones. Sounds like a direct path to me but I need to check... Definitely it does not happen first or second time.
