Hello all,
I'm looking for the steps to expand my HA Lun on SW 5.8 Native San.
I'm also looking for steps on how to upgrade from SW 5.8 to a newer version.

I'm currently running the following:

Node 1: W2K8 R2 - Core
Node 2: W2K8 R2 - Full Gui
Starwind: NativeSAN 5.8. (Rock solid btw just runs  )

I did attempt just expanding the HA LUN, a small gear appeared, and seemed to be working, but nothing happend.
I did verify via disk manager that i was not able to expand the .img disk / file.
I did reattempt expand with the CSV shutdown, obviously no luck.
I read some folks saying you need to recreate the HA LUN, or take it offline to expand.

Thanks,
V

Wow, 5.8 it's something i am not able to remember anymore, so i have a great advice for you - UPDATE :)

If the extending does not work for you, just create another (larger) device and transfer data to it. It's bit of mess of course, but works for me :)

As i stated above If someone can provide an upgrade process, that would be great!

Do i just download v8, and it will magically upgrade from 5.8, or do i need to upgrade to 6.0, the 8.0?

What's the process, or better yet what's the process, or old documentation in regards to just expanding the 5.8 LUN it works.
