Hi,

We have a 3 node HA starwind setup for Hyper-V.
But we also host websites using IIS.
We would like to use Starwind iSCSI for this purpose.

We have it running using the microsoft failover cluster to 'transform' the iSCSI disk to a UNC share, but this is creating some overhead.

We have a load balanced IIS cluster connected to this UNC share.
So we need at least 3 IIS servers to connect to the same UNC share.

The microsoft failover cluster is creating some overhead, so we would like to run without the MSFC.

Is there a way we can use the iSCSI HA disk on multiple IIS webnodes?

If I understood your question correct, you are going to connect StarWind devices directly on several servers. It is possible to do it, but since disks will be formatted with NTFS, which is not Clustered File System, you will not see the data/file changes simultaneously server on all servers. Moreover, you will get a data corruption on this drive.
So, in order to avoid data corruption and connect disks directly to the servers (without MSFC) would be create a dedicated HA devices for each server, but in this case you will not have File share.

Creating a HA disk for every webserver is not a problem.
But these disks should be synced, is that possible?
And if I need a 600GB disk, should I reserve 600GB for each webserver?

If you want to use HA disk, it should be connected via iSCSI to only one web server.
If you will connect this HA disk to another web server, and it will try to use this disk it would be a data corruption.
